She's grown on me tremendously and I can see why my friend adores this companion as a parent would their child. She's grown to be very special to me as well. As a Christmas gift I decided to finally get around to painting her portrait. There's no greater satisfaction than gifting a piece like this......I can tell you first hand it is loved......this is the reason I love portraits, be it animal or person.

Here are the pictures of the piece as it progressed.....and of course the final piece. If you would like to commission your own portrait, please email me at logansmeadow@gmail.com
Surely one of the most adorable of the three.....although I have to say they are ALL adorable kids. Hannah though.......her eyes just grabbed me. Her mom is an artist/photographer and surely this was of the three the one that had me the most careful to detail. I'm attentive of each portrait or piece I create but when I know another artist is going to receive my work.....well let's just say I'm just that more careful of each stroke I make with my brush. Here's the work as it progressed and the final piece itself of course.
With my adventures in the kitchen these past couple years and that way Life just takes over painting and drawing unfortunately tend to take a back seat.

Christmas is the time of year though I can count on a commission or two to keep me busy and get the creative juices flowing again. This year was no exception, I got the immense pleasure to paint some wonderful portraits of some adorable children, two of three are complete now and a third almost there.....one final push to go.

Usually I do not post until all have left my hands but given Christmas has just passed 2 have left me and have been gifted. I thought I'd share some pictures of the portraits as well as some shots of the pieces as they are being completed. More pictures will follow of the third, along with another I have just completed as well in the coming week.
This one was a little tricky......so many adorable pictures separately however very few to choose from posed together. Thankfully I was able to make this work using another picture without any trouble. And to those who know me personally I assure you these are not my two adorable wee ones, however the resemblance really struck me as I painted.

By far one of the cutest little smiles I've ever painted.....nothing like a pair of baby cheeks and an unguarded smile coupled with adorable loving siblings to put a smile on your face. This one was probably the most involving just trying to get their features perfect.

That's it for now.....more pictures to follow in the next couple days of the final two, stay tuned!

I've always been a very emotional painter.....if I'm not feeling it, it's not happening. This leads to a lot of very charged paintings, my best work has come out of it. Unfortunately it also means long spurts when I don't paint. This year has been an extremely rough one for me in my personal life and has left me with little to no urge to let the feelings flow. Sure, emotions have flowed in the literal sense but allowing those to translate into brush strokes can be difficult. I've found myself doodling a lot in the past month and bit by bit I've started picking up my brushes again. This is the first full sized piece I've attempted in a long time.....and it felt amazing to do it.

While the piece itself looks very dark and somber (I'll admit it's not a cheerful piece, definitely NOT my usual style of fairies, pets and landscapes) it's not a complete departure from anything I've done in the past. I'm quite happy with it.......quite happy with the experience of letting it flow.

Painted to the sound of Tool (46&2 repeated way more than once) and a very heavy mind. I now feel a lot lighter, and have embraced the release of getting feelings onto canvas. I'm hoping that this is going to signal a creative surge and not just a spurt......I'll definitely post as it continues to flow.

Well it's taken me a while but I've finally photographed my latest commission "Scruff". This commission will mark some more frequent presence for my art online than I've done in a while. A recent HUGE shift of career change and my health have monopolized my time but I'm ready to start picking up the brush and plunking myself in front of the computer more often to share my world of art. I've also started listing my art again through Etsy. Check it out www.logansmeadow.etsy.com
I'll also take the opportunity to announce an upcoming endeavour I'll be undertaking in the next week or so. I'll be launching my artwork in greeting card format soon and you can gift prints of some new art that I'm sure you will all love. Please stay posted for more details which I should have ready by the end of this week.
And as always, THANK YOU for following my art and my blog!Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03132543439990407234noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7701936575205097660.post-56308140305883783162013-01-30T11:05:00.000-08:002013-01-30T11:05:46.567-08:00The finish line approaches....Well I think I'm almost there! The piece itself is now complete however I still have yet to frame it properly and sign, etc. Now to figure out what I want to do re: hanging (which I will be sure to post when it's in it's final area). It's nice to get a larger finished piece out after such a long break!

For now, at least. Today after putting my little boy who's home sick from school back to bed I decided to pick up my brush again. While I want to take a real break, this (blogging) will have to do as I have to keep moving in case the paint on my "palette" dries. Laundry will have to wait. So far I'm pleased but not completely won over. However that said, my husband pointed out I pretty much dislike every piece while it's in progress which is definitely the case here. I'm looking forward to finishing this that much more though because my self critical nature tends to push me into some pretty interesting work. With that I'll post a pic of the continued work in progress and get back to it....remixing a colour exactly with a piece needing the continuity this one requires is next to impossible. I hope you like it.......although posting it I'm acutely aware I need to rent a carpet cleaner ;)

So I'm finally all done for the day! Here's the end result of today's work. I had to remix a little new paint, however thankfully I was able to match it - phew!

Wow, can't believe it's been over a year since I last posted anything on my blog.....another sign that I've definitely chosen the right area to focus on this year. I don't do New Year's resolutions, however this year I think I have made an affirmation - to focus more on my creative side. The past year has been a hard one personally filled with an ongoing struggle/frustration in my professional life and an ongoing development of dealing with other personal things....all of which obstructed my creativity.
Now enough of that.....this year...I plan on focusing more on my art and using my creativity as a proper outlet and hopefully inspiration to help me in my continued work on myself this year. To help in this I've started a new piece. The intent is to keep this in my own private collection but this may change. With that I give you a few shots of my current Work In Progress, which as of yet still remains to be named.

Today I finished work on two murals that has me totally and utterly drained. Yesterday I just couldn't get into it. Needless to say there's been no progress in 72 hours on the 30 Day challenge. However that being said I will NOT GIVE UP. So consider that a mini hiatus that will resume tomorrow pending my back isn't hurting too much to sit up. I'll be sure to post some pictures at the very least of the new mural. However if you want to have a peek before I get to it, head on over to my Facebook Page and check it out via the new album. Thanks so much for following and I will be certain to at the very least provide an update as to the progress of the challenge. Thank you again for your interest in my art and following my little creative world :)Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03132543439990407234noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7701936575205097660.post-68653380075431405812012-01-10T08:32:00.001-08:002012-01-10T08:34:43.987-08:0030 Day Challenge, Day 8: Favorite Animated CharacterWell Day 8's drawing was a blast form the past....favorite animated character. This one got it's start from comics however has been animated in both 2D and 3D. I credit Garfield for my start in drawing....from the time my mom drew a poster of him from me, he's always held a warm fuzzy spot. I don't draw him anymore, actually this was the first time in years, but definitely fun to revisit something classic!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-IGlAsj-SDZA/TwxokhCTwoI/AAAAAAAAAuE/Nw9ibpqatFM/s320/Day8Garfield.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5696042605269467778" />Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03132543439990407234noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7701936575205097660.post-6885705056371540742012-01-09T19:45:00.000-08:002012-01-09T19:59:25.449-08:0030 Day Challenge continues....back log of Day 6 and 7Well I've been drawing daily, but very backlogged regarding posting. Sorry for the oversight folks, life while simple, has been keeping me very occupied. Tonight I'll be posting both days 6 and 7. Day Six was to draw my favourite character from a novel, not one in a movie. Well I've decided to bend those rules slightly, let's call it "artistic license" and decided to go with my favourite although it has been converted to a movie. That character would be Gandalf of Lord of the Rings. That wizard gets himself out of the tightest of binds, always lands on his feet and just won't die! His fight for the greater good and the mystery he's shrouded in make him the ultimate mythic Houdini....well, I've outed my inner geek now haven't I? Oh well, I'm proud of it! I'm not entirely sure what part of the book this sketch comes from but I was thinking of him as Gandalf the Grey around the time of the Mines of Moria.....
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-VAmPHb97mx0/Twu2ULxeDCI/AAAAAAAAAts/kYJ9cMsJsVQ/s320/Day6Gandalf.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5695846611614043170" />
Day 7, very very simple : Favorite Word.....well call it my inner Flower Child, but it's Love hands down....without that word, there is no hope for humanity in general. I'm not much for word art but this will do.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-goRhoT71_BE/Twu2UQWfZWI/AAAAAAAAAt8/sog7ttonLqg/s320/Day7Favorite%2BWord.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5695846612843062626" />
Stay tuned, tomorrow I'll be posting both days 8 and 9.....and with luck hopefully day 10 as well. I may be sticking to the drawing a day, but it seems that I'm still rather bad at remembering to post them daily, stay tuned!!!!Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03132543439990407234noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7701936575205097660.post-23587196733097311642012-01-06T17:21:00.000-08:002012-01-06T17:32:13.538-08:00Another Mural! The light house Part 1Another Mural has been started! These are so different than the canvas and paper pieces I do but I love the variety. This time around I'm painting in another tight space (see Mural Is Completed) and this one will be two opposite walls. This one is of a basic lighthouse, so far a lot has been done in only one day, but still a lot of work left to do. Unfortunately I forgot to bring blue to the site.....who would forget blue for a waterscape? Thankfully even if I had it I ran out of time for the day so you'll have to follow along to see the completed piece in any case. I hope you enjoy the progress so far as much as those it's been created for......
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgdUeXBZmeE1WsSbJu5BgfxRapEtnhVQbp2aYTa7xykZ747rjSwV1RA6NpnDgPj0eofGd70cwsaAP51BimW1OU0Y4qaC65JxotJE6EDSATFffKyPzENgAKjyHmqkYcPQFNfXcPgU4njMzki/s320/LighthouseMural1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5694695592730603282" />
This is the before....the blank wall all sketched out for the first brush strokes.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgeWAVPyuE54zadfzHC0nK7EomOBTw2y1M2win8qNFt2ZnXKmPG0IXtAlizNTjxU81hZU8sFA0M-zssupKBlYULPTYWa1MZW1xGnp7PBA1q0lI4tFOryq9vtuWdM35GPAkHI9G7dVHqb_Pk/s320/LighthouseMural2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5694695598357552066" />
Initial colour of the Light House have been blocked in, now it's time to dry the first coat.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjjJvjehohpg2P00LfjNk2mgGTiZP4h0uZRroDR02jBm0kaYtw3ZKt5yw_oDb5QR7t5kh11r0QNR00qkNosiH5m92sG1PXK7-3PahENxG5VnGytymoBNh6I-rwIOEGtrbvNoNXWzl3MLJW2/s320/LighthouseMural3.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5694695604502866914" /><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhFtipHT-VFLL6Gf0sEpECrZZ6EXl3mWzzZjn2orAsDkcj57UEpcOqmJ0sk3LmLt-GSwPGhS_smJjlFFXBc8wDEUqyvRnSk8asVbv0vE4SxN5AROj8nVWNjnDJNRrpYCLenBFBCRcK6F1s1/s320/LighthouseMural4.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5694695609715841154" />
Finally the first day is complete, shadowing in for a more 3D look to the column, some clouds and a bit of sun. I'm very fortunate to have many wonderful people that touch my life, surrounded by friends (which I am eternally grateful for). As sappy and sentimental as it sounds though my husband Rob is my closest. We were friends before we were dating many many many years ago, and he's closest to my heart......
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-F4gwJy_Qays/TwYdIHDSB8I/AAAAAAAAArs/wjNIGAwAAxc/s320/Day5.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5694270804025542594" />Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03132543439990407234noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7701936575205097660.post-87105501840255516252012-01-05T12:20:00.000-08:002012-01-05T12:26:22.623-08:0030 Day Challenge....Day 4 (1 day late)......Oops! Missed a day, however better late then never and you know what I'm glad. Why? Well today I went out and treated myself to a birthday present, art markers! Dual sided with a brush tip....LOVE IT! Why oh why don't I try my more child like mediums more often? They're not paints, but for sketching....I'm in love. Well without further ado may I present Day 4 of the 30 day challenge: My Favorite Place. Although I have many many many places that have made me feel at peace by far the most favourite would be anywhere I can camp. Camping is by far the most enriching past time and the place that sparks my most passionate creative streaks.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-HliBx_TaQpw/TwYHWe-FLqI/AAAAAAAAArg/CQQz0Mi9VVM/s320/Day4.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5694246861708537506" />Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03132543439990407234noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7701936575205097660.post-10760835444243999302012-01-04T05:27:00.000-08:002012-01-04T05:29:55.178-08:0030 Day Challenge, Day 3Well this one was very odd for me....yesterday I had to draw my favourite food. Not only does that in itself seem like a challenge (drawing food and food alone???) but to make it interesting. I'm not too sure I made it interesting but I pushed though and did it. The next hardest part about it? Well which food to pick. I love food as a whole but the object was to find one....chocolate was a close second....but I do have to concede Pasta is by far my favourite food (especially littered with seafood).
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQT1QOOYEEb7437XYZfbkGbcydHtqDnX5lDA9fHQ5l5TzAeqowsHKEQTJk4WnA4cv44zLgRstL9yta3nq7NRlbe14x6_VFZS3-lxYxC8_N8VfZbn7bPeyXaraVahuUoA0ho4DtdI7KOluD/s320/Pasta.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5693768492391899970" />Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03132543439990407234noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7701936575205097660.post-87403256389245687322012-01-02T08:31:00.000-08:002012-01-02T08:33:19.234-08:0030 Day Challenge....Day 2Day 2.....Your Favorite Animal. I normally don't do New Years resolutions however as 2011 was such a train wreck for me I thought it wouldn't hurt to try it in 2012. My personal resolution is to take One Day at a Time. I am a constant worry wart and create a lot of anxiety and distress for myself as a result. Focusing on what can be done that one day takes a lot of pressure of yourself. Seems simple right? Reflect back, how often do we actually practise this? I don't think you'll find that you do it as often as you think you do.....and you're not alone. So in the spirit of taking it one day at a time, I present my own personal 30 day challenge inspired by a website stumbled upon. Yesterday was Day One and that challenge was to draw a picture of yourself. I personally hate drawing self portraits, psyco analyze that as much as you'd like hahaha. In any case I mustered up the courage and did it! Pardon the quality however this one was taken courtesy of my camera on my phone....
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZXSou_3XfxmQQ_1A3BaGdkjpu3ueu8TPnFb3orbejxzP1lBACFj6bWKb1lFg7vPH2NFdxOnfccRC8dhq4lbi87UZNRJnYMKZnxP-IT7GXNGXupCmrDWaKUuSuULhcsbLcKvXZG4cZhIc2/s320/377389_10150555752958255_515513254_10500836_2012541767_n.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5693072172195357618" />Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03132543439990407234noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7701936575205097660.post-56197768273389214822012-01-02T08:18:00.000-08:002012-01-02T08:21:07.959-08:00Catching up from the sketchbook.....<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhwreGqx-iaN52e82uRDjGBzhxmx6cirFJbMXy7fBQ_5jgiTR0F-6gKAvfwXi8MAO1_nbwu15GaEHbLhHdeAflOoSMnEhKkJeUHTGebQ4ieqQ59I0mJjrRn02SXxt7MNDMsQ-_HCu_a6t5i/s320/DSCF2363.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5693070450043465890" />
Well if you're following me on Facebook (Lisa Rodgers) you'll have seen this little guy I sketched called "Get Me Outta Here!". By this I mean doing art for the sake of art. Between my full time job that pays the bills and my children I've had little to no time to self promote. This by no means is a complaint...I'm able to pay the bills and my children are happy and this is by far the top priorities at this time. This being said though I ache to draw or paint something so what better way than to sketch! My goal is to use these sketches/doodling for inspiration. It's odd how something so simple and basic is something I never ever do. All artists do it, but for some reason I keep trying to skip over this process. Hopefully by embracing it I'll get some creative mojo going. So please, I encourage everyone to post comments when I post the sketches/doodles, I would LOVE to know if something I do just for the sake of doing it is appealing.....it may be my next finished piece.

Thank you again for following and reading, I enjoy sharing what I do and I'm trying to get better at posting more often....and without further ado.....the first sketches that I'm happy enough to post, bear with me they may not all be as "pretty".....
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg26nmCuvP8rcPTpi0IomflFS7Uocb-QSTfCo-bxvz4tYwUT8PhsiYYSQvZG4mLUU7dpjVIbRgOK_QNVFjoHFRMOUAKBkTWRDCciDBsxhDZGUExZ-nPUQUxpHk6JneOV4sW15LjjBtGzkzo/s320/FeatherDoodle.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5681246170549100578" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgnnd5QIB5-so8t1bTJ32pm5jwp_DIxP55T6EdouURRwhnWYkp94EjmLGzot9igcADnSzELDpREbS4iFWxV7EJmRsY_nc7Ad2jprfkAIVlwD8jJOqxzF95uAlewhF_S2K4GlQk1cSa4Oa6P/s320/SketchyPointsietta.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5681273395151784834" />Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03132543439990407234noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7701936575205097660.post-58379262200238152762011-10-27T20:25:00.000-07:002011-10-27T20:30:20.244-07:00A Productive Evening.....Wow! What a creative rush! I had an incredible time tonight, so creative and inspiring. I'm not sure where the inspiration came from, not one bit. But I'm happy I ran with it. I'm so pleased because I don't usually do many mixed media pieces and this one turned out so true to what I had pictured in my mind. This piece is still not titled but is I'm very happy with it....hopefully I'll have it listed within my Etsy store over the next few days and will be sure to list the link. I'm rather pleased, the combination of watercolour paints, charcoal pencil, pan pastels and acid free pen complimented each other even better than I had hoped :)

It's definitely not my creates piece.....nor my most complicated, but overall I'm just happy to let a complete piece out of the jumbled creative mess my brain has been lately. The break in the creative block is welcome and hopefully will be the first of many new pieces......

*IMPORTANT NOTE* Blogger issues are preventing me from uploading a picture of the new piece, i'll be sure to edit it in as soon as the site decides to play nice :)Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03132543439990407234noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7701936575205097660.post-40851064713477636312011-10-24T14:08:00.001-07:002011-10-24T14:17:39.335-07:00And now for something a little different<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgFT8E9DvJrw2ZvYq062Yd63WSsVBxUJJHSGtZXyg9V4rqpePYcuz9u0bzAPiYKwUICi4PGh8GWu07jS0Api1qiblBXz7Jqi6qD9aa9DXuyEBCzRPsOglnxqe3Qc3jgxwEAauswsXXrq5Jj/s320/323008_10150421988003255_515513254_9918375_1786270631_o.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5667168751413467362" />
Today marks my first day experimenting with Pan pastels.....I'm not happy at all with this....not one bit. It's amazing how quickly you forget to use a medium when you ignore it for so long. I think I do remember why I wasn't too much of a fan of pastels now that I've picked them up again. This being said though I don't plan on giving up on them. One thing I'm realizing this time around is that I need to re-learn what I expect of them. For example, one key fact is that I shouldn't man handle the paper prior to using the pastels. I forgot the oils on my skin would pre-mark the paper, showing themselves as I run the pastel over them. I'll have to commit to learning how to use these materials a little more effectively and get more attractive results out of them. My impression of this first play sketch is how much it resembles my childhood art.

They are incredibly expensive too. This little set wasn't too bad though and a great steal (thank you Curry's!!!) although the individual pieces I'll need to get (notice there's no white or black?) are a little intimidating at six bucks per canister.

What I do like about them is how easily they glide across the paper, so much more control in this format over the traditional pastel stick. The colours are so incredibly vibrant and I have a feeling will pop a lot more once I get over being shy in the application of them on the paper.

I look forward to showing further experimentations using these pastels, hopefully along the way I'll create some unique pieces I'll actually list in my shop.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03132543439990407234noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7701936575205097660.post-89368108979941271712011-10-01T06:35:00.001-07:002011-10-01T06:42:19.470-07:00Under the Willow TreeUnder the Willow Tree is a painting just finished using watercolour paint and ink. It's 4x6 inches in size and features a silhouette of a girl among fairies under the moon and willow tree. I've taken the darker piece and made a little bit of a happier version (although my personal favorite is still the original). I really like how happy this piece makes me feel though, it definitely has it's own appeal. I have a few other ideas for this style of painting I plan on doing after this......most likely something water related. I have visions of surf and sun in my mind. Maybe some wishful thinking to get the summer started?
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 246px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgOrq-IHK5ULsvpmVAdqjom7DvGGfAY4DY7IW_cXhO95w3Ix5dm_Ln9U9boZFn6C1k4gBHPQ2yPseQ1G1hkCmLsO5i9rpYaBroQj88ejoXF6gb1S53Bz7H-pkB4Mr3JQZMmL9NXFCoHl4WJ/s320/Sunny+Whimsy%25281%2529.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5578400705807997490" />Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03132543439990407234noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7701936575205097660.post-59071005357431816912011-02-22T19:56:00.000-08:002011-02-22T20:02:12.082-08:00And now for a little WhimsyToday I scaled it down significantly from my last project! I'm not too sure what brought this image to mind but it fell into place rapidly. Started early this morning and finished shortly after the kids were put to bed tonight, definitely probably a piece has been finished quite so quickly....well at least at this size. The final piece is 8 x 10 inches and painted with Acrylic. I've titled it Moonlit Whimsy. Something about it makes me smile despite the grayed out colours.....this is definitely one of my favorites. I'm still rather undecided about what I'll do with this piece however felt it would be a great place to start by displaying it here......
<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi5mIiVqcINtuChTQ7-QSTDUKMcFQf8x0hOPGkLDvXlZ__7FlN2N1aHQU-APAbkXNMrYL1oE8OItbtpID_Z37ylFS27V4Ri9niIvI4FmWXfvB8XMsrp5v-hFlvUcahg70XeciY0DdQpVdhg/s1600/Moonlit+Whimsy%25281%2529.jpg" target_"blank"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 233px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi5mIiVqcINtuChTQ7-QSTDUKMcFQf8x0hOPGkLDvXlZ__7FlN2N1aHQU-APAbkXNMrYL1oE8OItbtpID_Z37ylFS27V4Ri9niIvI4FmWXfvB8XMsrp5v-hFlvUcahg70XeciY0DdQpVdhg/s320/Moonlit+Whimsy%25281%2529.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5576730264214045602" />Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03132543439990407234noreply@blogger.com0
